My approach to therapy
Even though therapy is inherently challenging, I work hard to ensure you feel supported and respected throughout the process. My goal is to be direct about the things that will help you find healing, and to be warm and caring as I do so.
I frequently tell clients, “Here’s what’s happening in my therapist brain…” I aim to be transparent about my clinical process so you can get the most out of each session, and be a collaborator in your own care.
In my clinical approach, I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and IFS (Internal Family Systems). I place an emphasis on building skills for emotional awareness, self-regulation, and mindfulness in a way that makes sense for your specific needs. As a systemically-trained therapist, I also make sure that the context from the important relationships in your life—past and present— is an integral part of the work we do in therapy.
I align my treatment approach with the principles of Intuitive Eating and Health At Every Size (HAES). I am LGBTQIA2S+ affirming.
My specialties
I specialize in treating eating concerns, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, ARFID, and other forms of disordered eating. I also treat body image concerns. If you feel stress about your relationship with food or your body, I can help.
I also specialize in treating relationship concerns, including dating struggles, marital conflict, and boundary issues with family members.

My background
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, both from Brigham Young University. During my graduate training, I gained experience working with a wide variety of clients at the BYU Comprehensive Clinic.
After graduating, I completed additional supervised training at a family therapy clinic in Draper, Utah. I then worked at Balance Health & Healing in Pleasant Grove, Utah, where I gained experience on a multidisciplinary team specializing in eating disorder treatment.
